He was born on December 18th, 1941, in Enid, Oklahoma where he grew up on a small farm. He graduated from Talala High School then moved to Colorado seeking employment when his big brother told him work was available. He met his future wife (his world) Deloris, they were wed on June 7th, 1963.
Robert, AKA Bob or Robbie, moved with Dee to California where he worked as a machinist for the Union Pacific Railroad. They then returned to Colorado where he worked for the Rio Grande Railroad for 40 years. They also farmed 160 acres with livestock near Hudson and Keenesburg, Co. until moving to Arvada for the remaining years. While on the farm many memories were made with family and friends such as hunting, tubing in the ditch and 4th of July parties.
He enjoyed hunting for treasures at the Flea Market. Collecting trains, LEGO, and Smith Miller toy trucks. People have said his collection looks like a mini museum. He loved cars and was a gear head from a young age. Robbie was quite the repair wizard, in remote locations he once fixed a wheel bearing with a tin can and attached a broken Jeep exhaust with found barbed wire.
He was well traveled, traveling to all 50 states, many on family vacations. Bob and Dee also traveled overseas, took several cruises and had many fun adventures together. One family vacation he packed a truck and camper and drove the family from their farm to Alaska on the Alaskan Highway, which was still only gravel roads.
He is preceded in death by his father Chester Branham, mother Ethel Pearl Branham/Smith, his brother David Branham, and his sister-in-law Charlene Anderson.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years Deloris Branham, Son Chad Branham (Martha Barnard); Daughters Shelly Munoz (Jose Munoz) and Sonya Prewitt (Curt Prewitt). 4 Grandsons Logan & Lance Prewitt + Gunner & Walker Munoz (The Boys) and many nieces and nephews.
