Bob was born on May 19, 1926 in New Brunswick, New Jersey, the son of George and Louise Jones. Growing up, he was always the smallest boy in class, so he chose to try to excel scholastically in his education. He received a scholarship for Princeton University, and earned a college degree in Electrical Engineering.
Bob moved to Denver, Colorado in 1947 and began working as an Electrical Engineer. On April 9, 1950, he married Leona Koch. They had two children, Susan and Cynthia. Bob was very active serving in Corona Presbyterian Church as an elder and teaching Sunday School Classes. He had a strong faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. He learned to play tenor banjo. For many years he played his banjo in several nursing homes, singing old tunes from the 1930's and 40's and gospel music.
After the death of his precious wife Leona in 2012, he moved to Greeley to be close to his daughter Susan. He lived in several senior retirement communities until the time of his death on July 31, 2019. He is survived by his two daughters, and four grandchildren, Kurtis, John, Stephanie, and Jenny.
