

Age 86, passed away on Thurs., Oct. 17. Dale was born on Nov. 28, 1926 to Katharine and George Keathley in Denver, CO. He is survived by his daughters, Terry (Harvey) Nakayama of Lakewood and Jeanie (Scott) Lawrence of Peyton. He had five grandchildren; Shannon, Jennifer, Brett, Scott and Amanda, as well as 3 great-grandchildren; Tegan, Miles and Zachary, who brought him much love and joy. Dale was preceded in death by his parents, his siblings Earl Keathley, George Keathley and Loraine and his wife, Barbara Dilley Keathley.
He served in the US Navy as an Electrician's Mate P Third Class and earned an Electrical Engineering degree from the University of Colorado. He owned "Electrical Agencies" in Denver for many years. Dale lived an extraordinary and fabulous life. He was a fun loving soul with an amazing zest for life. He enjoyed his family and friends immensely. He was an active member of the Mile Hi Optimist Club and was truly the "Eternal Optimist" in all phases of his life.
Dale was an avid Bronco fan and enjoyed many activities including traveling the world, entertaining, fishing, camping, dancing, photography and red wine. He was a member of the Greenwood Village Presbyterian Church and a volunteer at Aurora Medical Center. He became the Ambassador for the Atria Inn at Lakewood, promoting his home as a wonderful place to live. He was a master at making friends and enjoying life. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
