He graduated from Jefferson High School, and went to Adams State College. There he received his degrees in Journalism and History. He also worked at the school newspaper, as well as helping organize migrant farm worker. Most of his professional career involved various Purchasing Agent positions, ranging from Elitch Gardens to Regis University.
For a few years, he published his own newspaper, the Chronicle, which focused on the Wheat Ridge area. He had a deep love of history and books, and was a lifetime member of the Wheat Ridge Historical Society. He grew up in and was a long-standing member of Highland Park Presbyterian Church. Throughout his lifetime, he loved keeping up with Denver baseball teams (starting with the Bears, the Zephyrs, and the Rockies).
He is survived by his brother Ron (wife Cyndi), nephews Christopher (wife Kristen) and Jason (and Jason's son Braden).
Bob was a gentle soul and will be missed by all those who knew him.
