Born on January 4, 1937, in Denver, Colorado, to Elizabeth and Joseph Sarconi II. Bob grew up with strong family values and a hardworking spirit that guided him throughout his life. He dedicated over four decades of service to the Burlington Northern Railroad, where his commitment and perseverance made a lasting impression on colleagues and friends alike.
Outside of work and family, Bob found joy in sports- especially baseball and golf. A lifelong fan of the game, he played baseball growing up and remained loyal to the Colorado Rockies through every season’s ups and downs. Golf was another passion that brought him immense happiness. If the sun was shining, chances were good you’d find Bob out on the course. He achieved numerous holes-in-one at various courses over the years, a testament to both his skill and love for the game. On particularly good days, he would return home with a golf ball marked with the date and score, a quiet but proud celebration of a round well played.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Lupe Sarconi. He was also preceded in death by his first wife and mother of his children, Anna Mae Sarconi.
He is survived by his brothers, Tom (Kathy), Joseph “Butch” (Marge); his five children, Bobette (Mike), Gino (Jeannette), Sherri (Mike), Lori (Gene), and Mike (Vera); as well as his 12 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren, all of whom carry forward his legacy.
May Bob’s memory bring comfort to all who knew and loved him, and serve as a lasting reminder of a life well lived.
