I am still missing my long time friend Ron. We shared many life experiences together. I still treasure our geologic dialogues and his love of the Oldsmobile 442 that he used to haul me along and drag race in. Wiped out corvettes regularly in Laramie and Denver. He always called himself an old cockleburr from Newcastle. Maybe I’m his kochia companion.

I want to express my deep condolences to the Hando family for the loss of my long time friend and colleague. I have been a friend of Ron’s since the 1960’s. We were classmates in geology at UW, roommates in Laramie and Denver, and business associates for nearly 50 years. I have the highest regard for Ron, and am truly shocked by his passing. He was a great geologist, explorer and father who carried himself with the highest integrity and professionalism.  He visited at our family farm in Veteran and my family is saddened by his loss also.
He was a truly great friend and geologist.
We used to race in his Olds 442 and have many memories of him. He always would tell me he was just an old Wyoming cockleburr, I guess I was one as well.
I truly will miss you my friend.

Dear Marge & Family,

We are so sorry to hear of Ron's passing.  We are neighbors to your home in Jackson and whenever Ron was in town we looked forward to his call and a visit to hearing what he had been working on.  It was always a lively conversation talking about business and fly fishing!  He was a kind, considerate and interesting man.  We will miss his visits.  We send our thoughts and prayers to you and your family at this difficult time and hope that you will find peace in the days ahead.

Ron played an instrumental role in giving our business a new chapter in existence over the last decade when we first met. His generous, supportive and caring nature will never be forgotten and we are grateful to have his kindness touch our lives and business. I was always impressed how he made time to stop by on his busy rounds between Jackson, Casper or Denver. Nearly every visit he always wanted to know how we were and what he could do for us, thank you Ron, you will be dearly missed.

Marg, my heart is broken. I'm so thankful for Ronnie. He did so much for us. I appreciate more than words can say when he was with us in Casper for Chuck's heart surgery. I dearly loved him to pieces. I'll miss that smile he always had on his face and the neverending attitude of "what can I do for you?" Prayers and hugs to you and your family.
