Roy Willbanks, 95, proud husband, father, grand father and great grandfather was called to heaven Friday January 18, 2019. Roy is survived by his sisters, Fayme and Nelle; six children, David, Patsy, Tim, Chris, Raenell and Shawn; thirteen grandchildren, Troy, Amber, Jennifer, Krysta, Morgan, Zach, Jodi, Natalie, Jessica, Amye, Emilie, Tyler and Kelsie; and eleven great grandchildren, Cade, Wyatt, Brystol, Maverick, Roy, Ellamae, Dale, Amelia, Natalyn, Luke, and Hannah. He was proceeded in death by his parents, William and Nellie; his wife, Dorothy; his brothers, William (Bud), Merle and James; his sisters, Sadie, Irene, Georgia, and Maye; and great grandson, Leo. Roy proudly served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was honorably discharged as a decorated Sargent in September 1946. Roy would later marry his beloved wife Dorothy and open his own Chrome Plating shop, Alert Polishing and Plating in Denver, that he successfully ran with his sons for over 50 years. Roy thoroughly enjoyed maintaining and restoring his old cars and loved being down in his garage. Everyone who knew Roy will forever remember his hard work, determination and witty one liners.
