Mr. Collier was born in Nashville, Tennessee on April 11th, 1937 and raised in Arvada, Colorado. Royce was a man who defeated all of the odds against him, living his life to the fullest. Royce was diagnosed with cerebral palsy at 9 months old, and did not walk until age 7. Neverless, Royce did not let any setbacks get in his way. He was well known for going door-to-door selling light bulbs to local residents, with a continuous smile on his face. Royce loved to interact with others and he is remembered for always being cheerful, kind and funny.
Mr. Collier was a steady volunteer at the Cerebral Palsy Center in Denver. And to no surprise he came up with the idea to hold a dance in 1985 to raise money for cerebral palsy. This is just glimpse of how kindhearted Royce was. He was such an active and friendly resident in Arvada, which made him very well known to the public, as everyone appeared to know and love him. He made his family and peers very proud, he will be missed dearly.
