Born October 23, 1928 in Holdrege, Nebraska to Esther and Flanders Sutton. Died August 13, 2026 in Woodland Park, Colorado.
Ruth married her forever love, Ervin Edwin DuPree on November 15, 1945. She had 5 children total. Her first born were fraternal twin girls followed by 3 other children for a total of 4 girls and 1 boy.
Ruth was a child during the Great Depression in America.
She grew up a strong and courageous woman who met every challenge with grit and resolve. Her family was her life. Ruth was a homemaker as wife to Ervin and mom to 5 children, grandma/gramma/granny to 13 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, and 31 great great grandchildren. She was a giver in life. Not a selfish bone in her body. Ruth loved deeply and graciously. Her smile was admired and contagious and her beautiful green eyes were the window to her beautiful spirit. She was committed to Jesus Christ and lived her life serving Him for the last 67 years. She is greatly missed and has left a legacy of great faith, love of family, strength, joy and being content in all circumstances.
Ruth is preceded in death by her parents, Esther Murray and Flanders Sutton, her husband Ervin DuPree, one daughter Judy Stackhouse, two grandchildren Stanley Larson and Michelle Lopez. She is survived by 3 daughters, 1 son, 3 sons-in-law and 1-daughter in law Jean Breese (Bill Breese), Joan Castaneda (Roberto Castaneda), Tully DuPree (Theresa DuPree), Faith Marlin (Bill Marlin).
