I may not have been Sarah's best friend, but she was MOST DEFINITELY mine. She worked with me, and was my rock when I was going through some really tough times. She was quite literally my angel on earth, and she will never know just how much she saved me from myself. She was literally the reason I'd get out of bed to go to work. I was struggling with life, and she seemed to be the only person who saw right through my fake smile. I miss her dearly. 

There are so many pictures that capture Sarah's smile, humor and the quirky beautiful woman she became, but this one is a favorite memory. 

This is three year old Sarah waiting outside the hotel (with Simba and Nala) to go to Disneyland. During this trip I learned of her cleverness as she spoke of her stuffed animals being "precariously perched" (so smart) and of her wit and laughter. 

Though I only saw Sarah on a couple family vacations and during the occasional visit,  she could always make my heart happy and my day brighter. 

My heart hurts for those who spoke with and saw Sarah daily. To Matt, Allison, Ryan, the Botkin Family, Trevor, Devon and all who truly knew and loved Sarah, I pray today the soreness in your heart begins to ease and the beautiful memories and love shared help you through this incredibly difficult journey as you say goodbye...for now. May God give you all you need today.

We are old neighbors of the Steck’s and watched Sarah grow up from a little girl into a beautiful young lady.  She always loved going to Florida (especially to go to Disney) and our families got together for a trip to Destin in 2019.  It was so nice to catch up with all of them, hanging  out on the beach, getting our nails done at the spa, watching movies, watching her face light up when her favorite crab legs were served and going to Crab Island. 

To Matt, Allison, Ryan and the rest of the Steck family, we are truly sorry for your loss.  We are all heartbroken and she will be missed by all of us tremendously.

I had the pleasure of knowing Sarah through Devan and the Allen family. Was able to vacation with her a few times and see how funny and awesome she was. I know she was a true friend and second half to Devan, and many are at a loss without her. I would like to think Sarah is laughing and pointing at us when we ugly cry in her memory. Her spunk will forever be missed. Heaven gained a real one. Miss you girl

Sarah! I appreciate your friendship, laughter, understanding, dope design skills and most of all your humor. Thank you for helping us get through the hardest semester during lockdown.
