Shaoli Huang, 78, passed away peacefully on October 16, 2021, in Cupertino, California. She was born on July 24, 1943, in Chengdu, China to Chung Hsiang Hwang and Yuan Tu (Hu) Hwang. Shaoli lived a full life: she was only 5 years old when her brother, older sister, and parents had retreated to Taiwan. This left her with no choice than to grow up in mainland China with her other siblings. Despite that, Shaoli graduated from elementary school and entered the workforce at an early age.
Later on, she married her husband WenKui Zhao in 1963, and together, they raised 3 cherished daughters. In 1988, she finally came to the United States to reunite with her family. Moving forward, she continued to work in the US to support her family. Other than her loved ones, she soon developed a love for Chinese Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine. After years of passionate and dedicated study, she earned a Chinese Acupuncture license in her 50’s.
In 2001, Shaoli retired in Cupertino, California near her daughters. She enjoyed spending time with her many grandchildren that would often visit. She also enjoyed California's scenery. This included deers, squirrels, and birds that settled near her home. Other than that, she liked the wide range of flowers her new home offered. To add on, she was always on top of the new TV shows, which she would enjoy with her family.
Shaoli Huang is survived by her 3 daughters and 5 grandchildren who miss her dearly.
