Sharlene M. Owen passed away on September 17, 2019. She was a native of Colorado and lived a majority of her life in the Denver and Lakewood areas. She was a member of the Lakewood community for over 50 years. She was a room mother, a day care provider, a Girl Scout leader, a swim team mom, a quilter, and friend to many.
Shar was predeceased by her parents, her husband Mark Owen, also a member of North High School Class of 1959 and her brother, Carl Smith.
Her beautiful life will forever be cherished by her children: Stacey (Dan) Wisherd, granddaughters-Miranda Wisherd Leger and Tiffany Wisherd, and great grandsons-Blaine Leger and Dillon Leger. Steven (Tatiana) Bruckman, grandsons-Mitchell Bruckman and Trevor Bruckman, and most recently added grandchildren-Nicole, Nicholas, Julietta, and Anna. Stuart Bruckman and Ukko. Shar will also be missed by her brother Steven C. Smith, nieces, and nephews.
Celebration of Life will be held in Lakewood, Saturday, October 5th. Speeches by Stuart, Steven, and Stacey will begin at 1:30 pm. Reception will begin directly after until 4:00 pm.
