EPO – Philanthropic Educational Organization member
Friend, and of course, dog lover.
Here lies Sheila Anne Somberg, daughter of Joan and Bennett Somberg. Sheila grew up in New York City, New York, in the 1960s in a middle-class family. It is fair to say that you would see a lot of action if you opened your eyes to the good and bad behavior of the area, and times. She had access to her parents, and she had access to her grandparents, both of whom may not have shown her all the things that they should have but gave her the ability to see and know this world in its realistic parameters. Sheila studied very hard in college, prodded by her dad, Bennet Somberg, and then took her education forth to set her goals in life to new heights. Proud of educated women of her caliber, she knew that America is all about the self-made businesswoman. Sheila cared about the education of women; she cared about organizations like the EPO, as important to her were art, jewelry, and her dog, “My GOD,” don’t forget your loyal dog, right girls. Sheila wanted to make it as an independent businesswoman, proud of her self-acquired work ethic and goals; she started up her Mediation Company in Colorado. Though it’s said in the business world it’s “Breaks to Win, and Break's to Lose,” in life, sometimes it’s about the effort, and not the loss, for sometimes GOD’s challenge to us isn’t about the win or how we go about our business endeavors. It’s about our faith; it is about overcoming the struggle of life. Don’t feel bad about your parents’ or grandparents’ strictness or meanness, as you always thought; the same as my mother, your Aunt Mary, who felt the same way about her parents. Shiela, my cousin Sheila, I love you. All you need to know, Shiela, is that you made it.
May the Angels of GOD Almighty forever embrace your soul.
Thank you, friends of Sheila Anne Somberg, for showing up to say goodbye to her. Thank you for being kind. May GOD, and the angels hold you close to their breast. Alan Bruce Calkins, Cousin to Sheila Anne Somberg.
Oh, Heavenly Father, here is my prayer for Sheila Anne Somberg.
Father, please take my cousin’s soul into your loving arms; let not, any tortured part of her body be in pain.
Lord, please take my cousin to the mountaintop, where you said all things on to me shall be good, clean, and blissful.
Oh Lord, please take your child to a bright, colorful, and energetic venue that we call heaven.
Father, in heaven, I love you; my heart, my soul, my breath, my being belongs to you.
Lord, all things in heaven and earth be on to thee.
Let us always remember what we are about in spirit and not in flesh and blood.
Father, please love my cousin as you have said to us will happen when we die.
Father, we love you; please keep Sheila Anne Somberg safe.
Please let her lie in peace with you forevermore.
In Christ's name, I pray amen.
