Shirley Darlene Hebenstreit

Mom was born in Decatur Illinois July 26, 1936 to Eunice and Albert Ramseyer. She was the youngest of 4 children.

She met and Married James Hebenstreit, also of Decatur, in May of 1954.

Together they had 5 children.

Mom was friendly and personable and was always willing to help anyone in need. She sold Avon for over 40 years and loved that it gave her an opportunity to spend time with friends. She was a member of St Joseph’s Catholic Church in Golden.

Mom enjoyed cooking and gambling, and loved going “up the hill” for crab legs. She relished any event or holiday that allowed her time with her family, whom she loved fiercely.

She is preceded in death by her second son Terry, who passed in March of 2018.

She is survived by her devoted husband James of Golden, Colorado and children: Jim of Litchfield, Illinois; Tim of Morrisonville, Illinois; Ron of Arvada, Colorado and Sharon Weinstein of Broomfield Colorado. She also has 11 Grandchildren, 7 Great Grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

She is also survived by her brother Edward Ramseyer of Colorado Springs, Colorado and sister Phyllis Ramseyer of Mt Zion, Illinois.

There are no services scheduled at this time.

Her family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Denver Rescue Mission, or similar charity of your choice.
