Sonia Jo (nee Caldwell) Studer, 90 years old, died peacefully on the morning of July 24th, 2025, in her home in Denver, CO. “Sunni Jo”, or simply “Sunni” loved her family, was faithful in her church and was an advocate for women.
Sunni Jo married her high school sweetheart, Joe Studer, and moved with him to California until his Korean War Airforce enlistment was completed. Moving to Denver, Sunni and Joe raised two children, beloved daughter Elisa and favorite son Sheldon.
Sunni is preceded by her spouse Joe and brother Jack. She leaves behind her baby sister Jeri, daughter Elisa, daughter-in-law Dawn, granddaughter Shihomi and son Sheldon.
Sunni’s life will be celebrated on Thursday, August 7th at 11:30 at her church, Community of Christ, located at 480 North Marion Street, Denver, CO 80218. www.denvercommunityofchrist.org
