OBITUARY

Stephen James Workman

July 5, 1943April 9, 2020

Steve went peacefully with his guardian angel on April 9, 2020, after a long battle with cancer.

He was a proud Marine, as part of "Eagle Flight," 3rd Battalion 9th Marines; he served with the Seventh Fleet in the Far East Waters during Vietnam in the early 1960's.

His life will always be celebrated for his love of life. He was a gentle giant with a tender, passionate and huge caring heart. He was always joking around with his family and friends. He adored his wife, daughters, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and many, many close friends and extended family.

He will be forever loved, cherished, and remembered by his wife and best friend of over 50 years, Pam, his daughters April, Tonya, and Suzanne, his 10 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and his older brother Henry A. Workman III. He was preceded in death by his parents and older sister.

He will always be watching over us with love forever.

I remember Steve's excitement when he was getting ready to go camping, always around the 4th, since that was also his birthday celebration (5th). He looked forward to family events like this and always showed his love for the outdoors and the Colorado mountains. I am so fortunate to have got the opportunity to work with him. Pam, you know that Steve and you too, meant and mean a lot to our family as well. We are so sorry. The world has lost a Great Man and he will Never be forgotten. God Bless!

Pam - I'm so sorry for your loss. I know Steve was such a part of your life for many years and I know how much you loved him. It showed in your smile when you spoke of him and it showed in your daily care for him. Please accept my condolences.
