Susan “Suzie” Buergisser passed away peacefully on Sunday November 23rd, 2025, at Applewood Our Place in Arvada, Colorado. She was born on November 16th, 1946, in Borger, TX, to Phillip and Edith Brooks and she left behind Rob Buergisser (son), Hayan Buergisser (daughter in-law), Kai Buergisser (grandson) and Tae Buergisser (grandson).
Suzie grew up in Borger, TX with her parents and sister, Sandra Montomery, and started her career with AT&T where she stayed employed until retiring in the early 2000’s. She left Borger and moved to the Denver area in 1972 and made that home for the rest of her life. In 1988, she met her husband, Burgee, and they spent the rest of their lives together until his passing in January of 2020. They loved to travel, throw parties, ride Harleys, and spend time with family and friends.
Suzie was loved by all and impacted many people in many ways. She was a great wife, mother, sister, and grandmother. She will always be remembered for her kindness, love, and hospitality, which she shared with everyone she met. She found joy in spreading happiness to all whose lives she touched.
Funeral services will be Saturday December 27th, 2025, at 11:00am, located at: Crown Hill Cemetery & Mortuary, 7777 W 29th Ave, Wheat Ridge, CO 80033
This will be followed by a “celebration of life” lunch at 1:00. Located at: Edgewater Pizza, 5302 W 25th Ave, Edgewater, CO 80214
