Sylvia Sue (Adams) Bollig

Sylvia Sue Bollig, age 92, of Lakewood, Colorado, passed away on Tuesday, May 19th, 2026, at her home in loving care and comfort of her family. Born March 4th, 1934, in Anna, Illinois, Sue was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Her mother passed away when Sue was very young, so she was raised by her dad, aunts, and uncles. Sue moved to Colorado and worked at the Federal Center in Lakewood. During this time, she met the love of her life, Gary and they were married on May 24th, 1969. They were blessed with a son, Greg a year later. They made their home in Lakewood, Colorado. Later Sue worked for Jefferson County Schools before retiring.

Sue loved making a beautiful home and cooking for her Husband, Son, and Grandson. She enjoyed being outside working in her pristine garden, being with her dogs, and cheering on her beloved Denver Broncos. Spending time with her family was very special to her, and even more so when she was blessed again with her Grandson, Adler.

Sue is survived by her Son, Greg, Grandson Adler, many loving sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, and her cousin Patricia. Sue was preceded in death by her husband, Gary, Mica, and also her parents, stepmom, sister, brother, and aunts, uncles, mother-in-law, father-in-law, sisters-in-law, and brother-in-law.

Sue fought courageously for several years in her battle against Interstitial Lung Disease. It was her strong faith and constant care of her loving Son and Grandson that carried her through the days of her illness. She will be deeply missed by family and friends for her warm smile, kindness, and willingness to help others. She had a very loving heart and uplifted those around her.

A visitation will be held at Bethlehem Lutheran Church and School, 2100 Wadsworth Blvd, Lakewood, CO 80214, US, on June 8, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by a funeral service at the same location from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.

A committal service will take place at Olinger Crown Hill Mortuary & Cemetery, 7777 West 29th Ave, Wheat Ridge, CO 80033, on June 8, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 12:30 pm.
