Tami had a myriad of hobbies and interests, including crafting, stamping, diamond painting, coloring, reading, watching movies, singing, and taking long mountain drives. She collected dolphins, candles, butterflies.
Her jobs included being a restaurant hostess & waitress, fast food worker, and gas station attendant when she was young. She then worked for Mervyn’s Department Store before going to work at Silver Anvil Engineering. She was a PartyLite Candles and Gifts consultant and a consultant for L’BRI skincare. Later in her life, she worked as a secretary and assistant treasurer, as well as the Children & Nursery Director at The Rising church in Arvada.
Tami’s son, Dylan, was born in 2000, and her daughter, Brianna, followed not long after in 2003. She also had a knack for “adopting” all of the friends that Dylan and Bri brought home. She was never just Tami, but instead Mom, Aunt Tami or Ta-Ta to hundreds of kids.
Tami was involved in children’s ministry in many capacities, be it teaching Sunday School, directing nursery and children’s programs, or simply loving every young person she encountered.
Toward the end of her life, Tami was plagued with many health problems, which hindered her children’s ministry and her ability to participate in the many hobbies that she enjoyed.
On January 7, 2025 at the age of 45, Tami joined the choir of angels while surrounded by her family at Lutheran Hospital. She is survived by her mother, Cheryl Yeske; son, Dylan Yeske; daughter Brianna Yeske; sister Shannon (“Shay”) (Nick) Newell; and all of the children she “adopted” in love over the course of her life.
She is preceded in death by her father, Henry (“Hap”) P. Yeske III; paternal grandparents Henry (“Hank”) P. Yeske, Jr. & Helen Yeske; and maternal grandparents Ken & Hazel Brandenburger.
A Celebration of Life for Tami will be held Friday, January 24, 2025 at 3:00 PM at Olinger Crown Hill Mortuary & Cemetery, 7777 West 29th Avenue, Wheat Ridge, CO 80033. A reception will follow.
