Theresa Cruz Bernal Townsend passed away on November 29, 2020 in Denver, Colorado following a short illness. She was a kind, hard-working, religious, loving and humble person.
Theresa (Tessie/Tess) was born in the tiny village of Wagon Mound, New Mexico on November 28, 1946. As a young girl, she moved to Santa Fe, New Mexico when her mother became critically ill and she was subsequently raised by the Miller Family; father Rudy, mother Alice, brothers Dennis, Floyd and Rudy. She attended St. Anne Catholic School and Loretto Academy where she met and maintained friendships that lasted for over 60 years. After high school, Theresa moved to Denver, Colorado where she began here career as a dental assistant for the City of Denver, later retiring as a court reporter from the Denver County Courts Systems after 25 years. She continued to work after retirement as a financial specialist for H&R Block until her death.
Theresa is survived by her daughter, Michelle; grandsons David, Dorian, and Devon; great-granddaughter Aaliyah, and numerous nephews, nieces, extended family and friends. She was fiercely loved and will be greatly missed by all.
