Tony, many of you know him as “Bear”, married the love of his life, Leola, at the age of 19 years of his, she was 12 years his senior. They married in Nebraska and ran off to Denver to settle down and start a new life. He was a family man and very quickly became acclimated in Denver. A lot of their time was spent with family gatherings as well as church gatherings. He enjoyed going to car shows and working on his 51’ Chevy Truck.
He worked at Pepper Packing (meat plant) as a butcher for 23 years, until the plant burned down. During his 23 years of employment, he only missed eight days of work. He then accepted a position at City and County of Denver, working at the Denver Coliseum and Red Rocks. He spent the remainder of his working years there and retired 25 years later. He was a hardworking man and took pride in both of his jobs He retired at the age 65 to take care of his wife.
He spent the last 12 years of his life with family and friends, going to family events, car shows and reading his bible. He lived a long meaningful life and touched many lives. He was well liked and will be truly missed. We will take comfort knowing he is now flying with the angles and has been reunited with his wife and all others who have gone before him.
