Velma Mae Goble, daughter of Mary and Earl Goble, was born February 5, 1927, at Sedgwick, Colorado. She passed away December 28, 2017, at Sandalwood Manor in Wheat Ridge, Colorado.
Velma attended school in Sedgwick and Akron, Colorado. In 1943, Velma married Howard Jesse in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. To this union four children were born, Larry, Pamela, Gail, and Sharon. Mr. Jesse passed away in October 1990. Velma, besides being a homemaker, was also a bookkeeper for the family business. She occupied her time with sewing, crocheting, knitting, crafting, and fishing and camping with the family. She was active in the Girl Scouts organization and school functions.
Velma was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her sisters Jane, Mildred, and Eileen and brothers Rex, Max, and Richard.
Those left to mourn her passing are her children, Larry Jesse of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Pam Ewing and husband Jim, of Arvada, Colorado; Gail Jesse and wife Mary, of Westminster, CO; and Sharon Marchitti and husband John of Las Vegas, Nevada. Ten (10) grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren are also left to mourn Velma’s passing. Others include sister Lois Burns of Akron, Colorado, sister-in-law Jo Goble of Keanesburg, Colorado, and numerous other relatives and friends.
