On Saturday, April 27, 2019 Vernon Ray Buchleiter, loving husband, father, and grandfather went to be with his Lord at the age of 91. He was in Niceville, Florida where he resided near family for the past two years.
Born to Roy and Edna Buchleither, Vernon grew up in Denver, Colorado delivering papers throughout metropolitan area and into Evergreen. He joined the Air Force in 1950 and served in Fairbanks, Alaska. He married Norma Jane Jory and together they raised two daughters.
Vernon loved his God, his family and traveling. He often combined his passions including his family on his ventures across the country and around the world. He also enjoyed playing tour guide at home.
Proceeded in death by his parents and six siblings, Vernon is survived by his wife, Norma Jane, his daughters Lynn (Tom) and Janet (Tom), granddaughters Amanda (Sam) and Julie, great-granddaughters Stella and Johanna and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
