Victor Boog passed peacefully on Saturday, July 11, 2026. He was the eldest of three children and was born in Spartanburg, South Carolina on March 10, 1943, to parents Ruth and Paul Boog. His younger siblings were William Boog and Barbara Cook. He grew up in Syracuse, New York but spent his summers with grandparents and cousins in Chesnee, South Carolina.
He attended Brown University where he was a member of the cross-county team and after college worked at the National Security Agency as a cryptanalyst where he met Mary Louise Wright. He and Mary Louise married on July 15, 1967. He attended the University of Denver Law School and after graduating in December of 1970 he clerked for Colorado Supreme Court Justice William Erickson. From there, he joined the law firm of Bradley, Campbell and Carney, P.C. and in 1994 started his own law practice. Ten years later he was joined by daughter, Amanda Cruser, and he retired from Boog & Cruser, P.C. in 2020.
He was a loving father and doted on daughters, Amanda and Tracy. In his free time, he loved running marathons, playing golf, completing crossword puzzles, going to the East Coast to travel with his daughter Tracy and son-in-law Mark, and cheering on his grandsons in baseball and his granddaughter in swimming and dance.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Louise; his daughters, Amanda (Christopher) Cruser of Littleton, Colorado and Tracy (Mark) DiMacsio of Ewing Township, New Jersey; and three grandchildren, Colby Cruser, Libby Cruser and Flynn Cruser.
The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff of Willowbrook Place and Dignity Hospice for their loving care and compassion.
