Viivi Chambers,80,passed away July 28,2020 in Denver, Colorado. She was of the Lutheran faith.
She was born in Voru, Estonia to Endel and Therese Saarna who both predeceased her.
She is survived by two sisters, Elo-Ly Bailey and Ene-Tea Bloom as well as one daughter, Debra Rhodus , two grandchildren Keesha and Kaleena and numerous
Great grandchildren.
The Saarna family heritage can be traced back hundreds of years in Estonia until the occupation of the Russian Red Army during WWII. As Endel Saarna was a Police Commissioner in his home town, the family had to flee from the Russians in 1944 along with thousands of others. They emigrated to Feldkirch, Austria for five years while they awaited legal immigration to Miami, Florida in America. She has many relatives still living in Estonia.
Viivi was a gifted scholar who attended University of Miami. She later moved to San Mateo, California and then Denver, Colorado.
