Virginia Geraldine Larson of Arvada, passed away peacefully in the presence of her family at the age of 92. Virginia was born November 22, 1927 to George and Myrtle Sisson in Harlan, Iowa. On September 19, 1945 she married the love of her life, Duane Veryl Larson. They moved to Idaho Springs, Colorado in 1949 where she was a homemaker and later worked at the El Rancho restaurant. In 1969 the family moved to Lakewood, Colorado where she worked in the interior design furniture sales business both at Mangurians and Homestead House before retiring. Upon retirement she and Duane enjoyed traveling in their motor home, gambling and of course spending time with their grandchildren. In recent years she became a member DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution) as she found her ancestor fighting alongside George Washington as depicted in the famous photo of Washington crossing the Delaware.
Virginia is survived by 3 children, Duane Jr., (Susan), Lynn (Sue) and Lori (Ian) Dennett, 12 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband Duane (2014)
