Walt is survived by one Sister (Patricia), 2 Sons, 4 Grandchildren, and 8 Great Grand Children.
He graduated from Denver South High School and then worked at Mountain Bell for 32 years, retiring at the young age of 52. Walt attended the Mile High Church for many years. He spent his retirement years collecting, building, and working on mainly classic Ford cars as well as many other vehicles. He was a true “car guy" and was a member of the Early Ford V-8 club for many years. We always said he could fix and/or build anything and everything. Walt enjoyed many, many years of friendship with everyone and anyone that he came in contact with.
Gravesite services will be held at Crown Hill Cemetery on October 10th at 10:00AM. Walt will be placed to rest along side his sister, Shirley R Hume, who recently passed in June 2026. Reception to immediately follow at The Applewood Golf Course "The Vista At Applewood" from 11:00AM - 3:00PM. 14001 W. 32nd Ave in Golden Colorado. RSVP to 509-688-9987.
He will be dearly missed by all.
