Walter was born in a small town in the San Luis Valley, called San Rafael, Colorado. He migrated into another small town called Red Cliff, CO at the age of 13, where he lived until 1966 when he and his family settled in Denver where he became a barber.
Walter is preceded in death by his parents, Isabel and Eligario Madril; his siblings, Delores Navarez, Patsy Salas, Marcy Madril; and his grandson, Victor Pena Jr.
He is survived by his family, Eva Madril (ex-wife); children, Geraldine "Geri" Madril, Yolanda "Yoyo" Yslas, Walter "Tiger" Madril Jr., Tracy Madril, and Eric Madril; along with 12 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren.
Walter will be deeply missed and forever in our hearts.
A Recitation of the Rosary will be held at Olinger Crown Hill Mortuary, 7777 West 29th Ave, Wheat Ridge, CO 80033, on September 2, 2026 at 7:00 pm.
Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church, 4380 Utica St, Denver, CO 80212, on September 3, 2026 at 10:00 am. A Reception will follow Olinger Crown Hill Mortuary in Serenity Pointe from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm.
