Walter B. Mahoney 71 of Littleton, CO peacefully passed away on Sunday, September 28, 2014 surrounded by the love of his family. Walt was a wonderful husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather/papa, brother, brother-in-law and friend. In 1967, Walt married the love of his life Patricia Mahoney. For the next 47 years, Walt welcomed four children and ten grandchildren. Over the years, he enjoyed traveling with his wife, spending time with his good friends and being adored by his family. His towering personality and booming laugh will be missed by those who knew him best. Walt is survived by his Wife Patricia Mahoney, his four children and their spourses, Lisa and Tim Flannery, Patrick and Jessica Mahoney, Greg and Tara Mahoney, Gina and Jeff Young, and his ten grandchildren, Breanna, Addison, Kaden, Cierra, Bradan, Ryan, Dani, Bella, Emmalin, and Max.
Visitation will be Wednesday, October 1, 2014 from 5-7:00 pm with a rosary in Walt’s honor at 7:00 pm at Olinger Crown Hill Chapel of Peace. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, October 2, 2014 at 10:00 am at Notre Dame Catholic Church.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the American Diabetes Association in Walt’s name.
