

Wanda was born on August 4, 1930, to Alferd and Esther Maske and was raised on her family’s farm in the rural community of Macon, Nebraska, in the Marion precinct of Franklin County. Wanda lived a life defined by grace, kindness, and deep devotion to her Lord and Savior and to those she loved.
After graduating from high school in Franklin, Nebraska, Wanda moved to California, where she met her husband, James (Jim) W. Henry. They were married in 1952 and shared 67 wonderful years together before his passing in 2019.
Wanda had a special gift for making people feel loved and welcome. Her home was a place where family and friends gathered, laughter was shared, and wonderful memories were made. Known for her warm welcome, generous hospitality, and memorable get-togethers, Wanda was truly the heart of her family.
Her faith was an important part of her life, and she was deeply involved in her local church throughout the years. She found great joy in her relationship with the Lord, serving others, and spending time with the people she loved.
Wanda is survived by her children, Cynthia Vaske (Mark), Lynette Chambers (Joe), and Greg Henry (Cheryl); son-in-law, Steve Hildebrandt; her grandchildren, Lindsey Reid (Jason), Cole Chambers (Ashley), Clint Chambers (Rachel), Caleb Chambers (Mindy), Brandon Henry (Sara), Katie Blondin (Tim), Andy Cole, Luke Hildebrandt (Hannah), Megan Hildebrandt and Alex Vaske (Xiying); and her great-grandchildren, Cora Lee Chambers, Chloe Reid, Alex Reid, Cameron Reid, Naomi Blondin, Abilene Blondin, Josiah Blondin, Emilia Blondin, Cadence Chambers, Addilyn Chambers, Judah Chambers, Oren Chambers, Leah Vaske and Logan Vaske;.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alferd and Esther Maske; her husband, James Henry; her brother, Larry Maske; her sister-in-law, Celia Maske; her daughter, Valerie Hildebrandt; her daughter-in-law Suzanne Henry; her grandson, Josh Bixler; her grandson, Benjamin Vaske; and her great-granddaughter, Ashlyn Reid.
Wanda leaves behind a beautiful legacy of faith, love, family, and cherished memories. She will be deeply missed, but her love and the example of her life will remain in the hearts of her family for generations to come.
A celebration of life service will be held at Ken Caryl Church on September 25, 2026, at 11:00 a.m.
