In that same year she met her husband Lon R. Sulley on a blind date where he was showing trucks at Bandimere Speedway. You could say Wanda was smitten, because after that date she would go flirt with Lon behind her families station (The “A” Frame). Lon pushed her away several times due to the age gap between the two of them. Eventually her persistence stole his heart and they fell in love. Later that year they packed up and moved to Oklahoma working in the oil patch. The oil boom ended sooner than expected so the family packed up and moved again landing in Colorado Springs, the place they always dreamed of living. They started MVS Enterprises buying and selling hay, Country Smokehouse BBQ serving food to the troops at Ft. Carson, and Wanda worked along side Lon in their company Sulley And Son Enterprises doing snow removal, and parking lot maintenance. Wanda survived her first bout with cancer (thyroid) during this time. They welcomed their second son Paul in August of 1990. That’s when Sulley and Sons Enterprises was born. Together they built one of the largest independently owned asphalt paving, parking lot maintenance, snow removal companies in Colorado Springs. Wanda and Paul were both in the vehicle at the time of accident, to which Wanda spent 2 weeks in the hospital after the fact. After such an unfathomable loss, Wanda, Michael, and Paul carried on Sulley and Sons Enterprises and kept it alive and thriving. In 2012 Wanda diagnosed with stage 4 cancer at that time they gave her only 2 years to live. Again she was prepared to fight. Wanda wanted to see her youngest son be married, so in November of 2013 she celebrated the marriage of Paul and Jessica. December of 2013 Wanda welcomed her 3rd grandchild Westin. Though Westins time earth side was very short, he was a part of her whole world. June of 2015 Wanda welcomed another grandson Owen. Her fourth grandson Jacob came in October of 2015. Grandson number 5, Gunner was born January 2017. Finally in October of 2018 Wanda welcomed a second granddaughter Addilyn. In November of 2019 her 6th grandson Braxton was born.
