Wayne was born on May 24, 1941 in Belleville, Kansas to Lorena Brunsilius (née Smith) and Herman Brunsilius. He grew up in Kansas and Denver.
Wayne worked alongside his father in the construction industry and later took over the family business, Brunsilius Construction Company.
Wayne is survived by his three children: Luanne Brookover (Bill Brookover), Wayne Brunsilius Jr., and Janet Brunsilius (Clint Kemerling); his grandchildren; and his sister Linda Renfrow. He was preceded in death by his parents Herman Brunsilius and Lorena Brunsilius, and his sister Pat Church.
A funeral service will be held at 11am on Friday, September 25, 2026, at Olinger Crown Hill Mortuary. A funeral procession to the burial site will follow the service at 12pm.
