

William Alfred Aluise “Bill” was born January 18,1926 in Salida Colorado. He was the third son of five children born to Biagio and Maria Aluise. The family moved to Denver. He left home at age 16 and traveled to Truckee California where he worked for the forest service until the age of 17 when he returned to Denver. He worked for the Rio Grande Railroad. Until he joined the Marines and was sent to China during the war. Bill served 4 years in the service and was a veteran of WWII.
Bill retired from the Denver Mint after 25 years while working at the mint he started a home repair and carpentry business and continued working for another 15 years. When he finally retired, he began oil painting as a hobby and was a talented artist painting pictures for family and friends.
William Alfred Aluise passed away March 11, 2020 at the age of 94. He was a resident at Caley Ridge Assisted Living Community in Littleton Colorado. Bill was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Doris May McCall. He is survived by his children Mike, Vicki, Tami, Tracy, and Eric. He has 13 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
