William Franklin Cope

88, of Lakewood, Colorado. William, also known as Frank, passed away peacefully at his home on October 23, 2017. He was a proud member of the Green Mountain Presbyterian Church in Lakewood, and he had a deep appreciation for music. William would often discuss musical concepts, and he would display his talents while participating in the church choir. His other love was of course his beloved wife, Joan. The two married on Sunday, January 25, 1953 in Denver, Colorado. Joan passed prior to William, and William was never quite the same afterwards. His family takes comfort in knowing the two of them are finally together again in Heaven.

William is survived by his two children, Richard (Patricia) Cope and Holly (Rodney) Miller. He has three grandchildren, Elyse (Tim) Nelson; Alex Miller and April Cope. William also leaves behind one sister, Joanne Young.

William is preceded in death by his aforementioned wife, Joan; as well as his daughter, Katy LaVaune. He is also preceded in death by his brother, Edward H. Cope.

A Memorial Service will be held for William on Friday, November 3, 2017 at 2:00 in the afternoon at the Green Mountain Presbyterian Church. The address is 12900 West Alameda Parkway, Lakewood, Colorado 80228.
