William (Bill) Slogar, 96, of Longmont, Colorado, passed away on April 8, 2020 due to the COVID-19 virus.

Bill was born in Crested Butte, Colorado to Anton and Annie (Rezek) Slogar. Bill had 2 older brothers and 4 older sisters from his mother’s previous marriage to Anton Plute. He had 2 brothers and 2 sisters from his mother’s 2nd marriage.

After high school and working in Crested Butte, Bill moved to Denver, Colorado where he became a District Foreman for the Denver Water Board. He married Margaret Chesire on June 2,1962. They were happily married until Margaret’s death on August 19, 2005. Bill and Margaret belonged to the St. Rose of Lima church in Denver and were very active in church activities. He was a long-time member of the Knights of Columbus.

Bill was an avid hunter and fisherman. He especially enjoyed going back to Crested Butte to do his hunting and fishing every year. He was an avid Broncos fan and never missed a game at the stadium or on TV.

Bill is survived by his sisters Helen Malinowski and Agatha Jean Slogar and his brother, John Slogar.
