William Snyder

William "Bill" Wallace Snyder, 96, of Broomfield, Colorado, passed away on July 21, 2026. Born on May 26, 1930, in rural Clendenin, West Virginia, Bill was the only child of Eva Mae Baxter (Reed). He moved to Colorado in 1947 and enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. During his service at Lowry Air Force Base, he met Patricia Funk. They were married in 1950 and went on to have four children, making their home in several Colorado communities, from the plains of Sterling to the suburbs of Westminster.

Bill spent many years traveling the highways as a driver and manager for North Park Transportation, where he dedicated 28 years of service.

Retirement marked the beginning of Bill's greatest adventures. Alongside his beloved wife, Pat, with whom he shared 68 years of marriage, he embraced every opportunity to travel with friends and family and to make memories camping with his grandchildren. Together, Bill and Pat visited all 50 states, nearly all by camper, and enjoyed more than 20 cruises spanning destinations from the Panama Canal to Europe and Alaska. Bill's nature was always to keep moving, exploring, and discovering what was around the next bend.

In his later years, Bill and Pat put down roots in Broomfield, Colorado, where they enjoyed being close to family. Bill devoted his time to woodworking, creating stained glass, and tackling any

project that needed a capable hand. Known for having a plan, a strong work ethic, and an equally strong opinion, Bill was someone others could count on to take the lead and see a

project through.

He is survived by his sons, Kenneth Snyder and Glenn Snyder and his wife Robin; his daughter, Sharon Cole and her husband, Mark; his son-in-law, Robbie Bell; his grandchildren, Natalie Snyder, Christina Wilson, Robert Cole, and Pamela Schell; and his great-grandchildren, Trenden Wilson, Tyler Wilson, Reed Schell, and Reese Schell.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Snyder, and his daughter, Karen Bell.

Bill will be remembered as a steadfast husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend. Whether sharing a well-worn West Virginia saying, lending a hand with a project, or setting out on his next adventure, he left a lasting impression on those who knew him. His 96 years were filled with hard work, curiosity, laughter, and a love for family, and he will be deeply missed by all whose lives he touched.
