

Yolanda Mildred Torres, age 91, passed away November 9, 2025. Yolanda was born February 1, 1934 in Weston, Colorado to Henrietta and Ray Torres. The family moved to Denver, Colorado when Yolanda was a child, where she grew up and graduated from West High School. After high school, Yolanda began her career in telecommunications. In 1960, she married John Franklin Gebers, and they walked hand-in-hand in life until his passing in 2019, after 59 years of marriage. Yolanda set her career aside when her children were born but returned once they were in school. One of ten children growing up, she always prioritized family. She enjoyed her monthly card party gatherings with close friends for over 50 years. Throughout her life, Yolanda attended church faithfully and was a very active member who always served where there was a need. Her hobbies included bowling, traveling with her husband and spending time with children and grandchildren. She will perhaps be most remembered by her quick sense of humor.
Yolanda is survived by her children: Barry, Jon (Heather) and Lori Biggs and grandchildren: RJ Biggs, Hunter Biggs, Elijah Gebers and Jon Sebastian Gebers.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Frank, sisters Susan and Rita, brothers David, Bobby, and Sidney, and son in law Richard Biggs.
A visitation will be held at Olinger Crown Hill Mortuary & Cem, located at 7777 West 29th Ave, Wheat Ridge, CO 80033, on November 19, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
The funeral service will take place at Olinger Crown Hill Mortuary, on November 20, 2025, at 11:00 am with a Graveside at 12:00 pm.
A reception is scheduled for November 20, 2025, at 12:30 pm at Edgewater Inn located at 5302 W. 25th Ave., Edgewater, CO 80214.
