Zachary Lee Parsons, known by his friends as Zac, was born on March 26th, 2002. Zac was many things; he was a son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend to everyone that crossed his path. Zac was also an accomplished and passionate actor. The stage was his haven. Because of Zac’s enthusiasm for performance as well as his advocacy for inclusivity and representation, the stagecraft center at Dakota Ridge High School will be renamed in honor of him.
His love for life and his compassion for all living things are core pieces of Zac’s character. He lived his life according to Zen Buddhist practice and moved through this life with kindness and understanding. All people that Zac met were impacted by the love he exuded. He believed in equal rights and treatment for all people and supported his words with action. Zac was an ally and advocate.
Zac left this world on October 5th, 2022. He is survived by his mother and father, Noreen & Craig Parsons; his sister & future brother-in-law, Alaina Parsons & Andrew Pocius; grandparents, Nora & John Haight, John & Mary Parsons, and Sherry Parsons; uncle & his fiancé, John Haight Jr. & Nicole Leader; aunt & uncle, Aimee & Lee Dohse; aunt, uncle, and cousins, Amber & Chris, Lucas, Anandi Hoogheem; cousins, Vaughn & Kate Dohse, Mackenzie & Ethan Lemke, and Briana Haight; and countless other loved ones.
