Beloved brother of Jean (James) Majercik. Loving uncle of Mary (Carl) Unitis, Jane O'Shea, Jeanne (Tom) Valente, Carol (Paul) Bishop, Patti (Joe) McGrath and Michelle (Jeff) Stawicki. He is also survived by 14 great nieces and nephews and many great-great nieces and nephews.
Mr. Kretchman was born in Cleveland, Ohio on October 3, 1935 to Alfred and Agnes Kretchman. He was an avid sports fan and especially loved hockey & Cleveland Browns football. Al served in the Army in the late 50's. He loved being in the U.S. Army and the time he was stationed in Germany was one of his favorite memories. After being honorably discharged, he started working for the United Association / Pipefitters Local 120 in Cleveland, Ohio, where he worked for many projects in downtown Cleveland and surrounding areas. Al also loved golf, building remote control model airplanes and enjoyed listening to "old crooners" style music. Al will forever be missed by his family and friends and we will hold him in our hearts until we meet again.
A funeral mass will be held at 10:00am on Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at Our Lady of Refuge Catholic Church, 3700 Commerce Road in West Bloomfield. The family will receive friends at church from 9:30am until the time of the mass at 10:00am.
