

Anthony J. Dombrowski, age 72, of Waterford and formerly of Sylvan Lake, was born April 10, 1951 in Detroit and passed away July 7, 2023 in West Bloomfield. Beloved husband of Allison (née Clark) Dombrowski for 48 years. Loving father of Tony Dombrowski and Nick (Amy) Dombrowski. Proud grandfather of Emily, Olivia, Nick, Callie, Max, and Brooklyn. Cherished brother Patricia (Jim) Zabawski. Dear uncle of Rob (Karen) Zabawski and Mary Zabawski. Anthony will be missed by numerous other family members and friends. Anthony was preceded in passing by his parents, Anthony and Frances Dombrowski.
Having retired as the Parks and Forestry Supervisor for the City of Pontiac, he left a lasting impact on the local landscape. Anthony continued his passion for environmental stewardship as a Wetlands Engineer at Nowak and Fraus, where his expertise and dedication were highly valued. He held a special place in his heart for the breathtaking beauty of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula and the charm of Mackinac Island. Each holiday season, Anthony brought boundless joy to his family by assuming the role of Santa Claus, always captivating them with his remarkable performances. Anthony’s legacy as a loving family man, devoted professional, and cheerful entertainer will forever be treasured.
Visitation will be held Thursday, July 13, 2023 from 3:00pm until 8:00pm (Rosary 6:30pm) at the Union Lake Chapel of the Elton Black & Son Funeral Home, 1233 Union Lake Road, White Lake. Funeral Mass will be held Friday, July 14, 2023 at 11:00am (In State 10:00am) at Our Lady of Refuge Catholic Church, 3700 Commerce Road, Orchard Lake. Burial at White Chapel Memorial Park Cemetery, Troy.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a tree be planted in Anthony's memory.
