

She was born on June 19, 1936, in Flint, Michigan, along with her identical twin sister Barbara Jane, to Marguerite E. and Robert C. Kelley. Beverly carried throughout her life the values of faith, family, and hard work instilled in her from an early age.
Beverly was employed for many years as a ParaPro at Springview Elementary School in Flushing, Michigan. In that role, she faithfully assisted students in strengthening their math skills, offering patience, encouragement, and steady guidance. Her dedication to education and to the success of each child she served was a source of quiet pride.
On September 28. 1958, she married Robert Maxwell, with whom she shared a devoted marriage until his passing in 2020. Together they built a loving home centered on family.
Beverly is survived by her daughter, Kathleen (Ken) Taylor; daughter, Susan Maxwell (Gary Mahoney); and son Robert K. (Dee Baker). She was a cherished grandmother to Joe Taylor; Mark Taylor (Patricia Weicht); Ben Mahoney; Jay (Linsday) Mahoney; and Lee (Jessica) Mahoney. She was also blessed with great-grandchildren, Maxwell Mahoney, Genevive Mahoney, and Lennox Mahoney.
She is further survived by her brother, Robert C. Kelley; and her brother-in-law, William F. Treichel.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert (2020); her twin sister, Barbara J. Trechiel (2020); her sister- in-law, Lorraine D. Kelley; her parents, Marguerite E. and Robert C. Kelley; her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Barbara J. and William H. Maxwell; Beverly A. Maxwell; John Maxwell; Audrey Carle; and her niece, Gayle (Treichel ) Bunge.
Beverly will be remembered for her devotion to her family, her steadfast character, and her gentle manner. She found great joy in family dinners, Christmas gatherings, and in watching her grandchildren grow. Her life reflected quiet strength, kindness, and enduring love.
A celebration of Beverly’s life will be held on her 90th birthday, Friday, June 19, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at the Lakeview Village Clubhouse, 526 North Lake Street, Boyne City, Michigan. Family and friends are warmly invited to attend, share memories, and celebrate Beverly’s life. The family will be present from 12:00 noon until 3:00.
