Carl P. Welchner, age 67, of White Lake, passed away Saturday, March 22, 2014. Beloved husband of Marlene; loving father of Douglas and Kurtis; brother of Richard (Lucille), Betty (Lloyd)Fritz, Brian(Magie), Mark, Kenny(Dorothy) and William Rathje, Mabel (Raymond)LeClaire, Ardie (Jim) Elliot, Carol Naylor and Gail (James) Oberski. Carl served in the Army during the Vietnam War. He was retired from General Motors. The funeral service will be at 11:00 am (In state at 10:00 am) on Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at St. Patrick Church, 9086 Hutchins Rd., White Lake. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 2:00pm-8:00 pm (Rosary at 7:00 pm) at the Union Lake Chapel of the Elton Black and Son Funeral Home, 1233 Union Lake Rd., White Lake. Interment will be in Grant Cemetery in Oliver Twp., Michigan at a later date.
