Carmen Abinoja, age 93, of White Lake, Michigan, passed away on July 26, 2026. Born in the Philippines, Carmen carried with her a lifelong love of gardening, a passion that began in her homeland where she lovingly grew beautiful orchids. Her green thumb and patient care allowed her gardens to flourish, bringing beauty and peace to everyone who saw them. Orchids always held a special place in her heart, serving as a reminder of her roots and the country she cherished.
Carmen earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from FEU. She went on to enjoy a career with Continental Manufacturing. Family meant everything to Carmen. She enjoyed talking to her sister Erlinda on the phone and looked forward to her trips to visit her sister Gloria in Miami.
Although she made an attempt at learning to drive, it simply wasn’t meant to be, and she was grateful to her family and friends that offered her a ride.
Carmen was a woman of faith. She frequently attended St. Patrick Church in White Lake.
She will be missed by her family and friends.
