Charles Gary Koslowski, age 73, of Commerce Township, passed away Monday, June 20, 2022, at his home. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Margaret; his three children: Karyn Ferguson, Michael Koslowski, and Stephanie Koslowski; his grandson, James; his two brothers: Kenneth (Nancy) Koslowski, and Rick (Pam Stec) Koslowski; and his loving nieces and nephews.
Chuck was born November 7, 1948, in Detroit, the son of Mr. & Mrs. Casamier and Joan (Krzysik) Koslowski. He met the love of his life, Margaret Muster, in 1966, when the two were in high school. Chuck and Margaret began dating, fell in love, and were eventually married on September 10, 1971, sharing fifty wonderful years together. From 1968 until 1970, Chuck proudly served his country in the United States Army, where he fought in the Vietnam War. Upon his discharge from the military, Chuck returned home to begin his career as a job setter at Detroit Diesel. He worked there for thirty-three years until his retirement in 2002.
In his free time, Chuck could always be found cheering on the Detroit Lions and Tigers; as an avid sports fan, Chuck loved to attend the games, however, some would say he loved tailgating before the game even more than the game itself! He also loved spending his free time fishing, watching NASCAR races, and looking after his grandson, James. Chuck was also a member of the Eagles Club and enjoyed the fellowship offered to him there. He was a wonderful man who will be greatly missed.
Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, Casamier and Joan.
