I was saddened to here of Craig’s passing. He loved his family very much and his commitment was an inspiration to others - including me. His confidence is extremely inspiring and stood up for what he believed in. There was something about him that no matter what went wrong, he made it seem that everything was going to be okay. A memorable time I had with Craig; when I was young, we were sailing with my grandfather (George Mears) and the water was as rough and turbulent. I was really nervous. He sat next to me and coached me through the ride. I later found out he did not like sailing. But, with his strength, he made sure I was okay. Uncle Craig will be missed.

I came to know Craig thru mutual friends, Ron Smak & Don Cotton. That was about 40 years ago now. Though I did not hang out with him a bunch, I always liked Craig a lot. Easy going and a fun guy to be around. Was saddened by the news of his passing, that Ron sent to the "Murray Hill Gang". My sincerest condolences to Pam and his entire extended family and friends. Just saw him for the first time in quite a few years, last Christmas time. Eternal Rest Grant Unto Craig and May Perpetual Light Shine Upon him. God Rest His Soul. Way too young and I know he will be missed by many.

For Craig’s widow, Pam and son Shawn, for his brothers Kevin, Curtis (and Toni), Earl (and Cindy), and Chris (and Martha) and his sister Shelly Englen (and Jim),
Your Uncle Howard and I are so very sorry about Craig’s passing. You all are so special to us , as were your late brother Keith and your mother and dad . I have Said this many times, that your family is the most loving, and most caring family I have ever ever seen. I Believe this is because of the great love your mother and dad, The late Earland and Shirley Jean Beach , had for each other. No greater love than theirs have I ever seen in a couple. You all have made your parents very proud. May the Lords blessings be with you all and may you each walk with Him daily, for He will give you the strength to get through this very , very sad time. With much love, Your Aunt Sis

I will never forget the day Grandpa Mears was buried. We all left the area as soon as the burial was finished. Except Uncle Craig. I walked back and stood next to him. I listened to him instruct the men in charge of lowering the casket—“Take those straps off the casket.”

He did not leave Grandpa Mears side till he was laid to rest completely. I learned a lot about Uncle Craig that day. One thought stuck among the rest—Once he chose to, he was faithful and loyal to the very end, no matter what, and his love for you shown through, through his commitment and loyalty.

I have many more special, moving, and funny stories of Uncle Craig. But that story, left me changed.

I will always love my Uncle Craig, to the very end, no matter what.
