I'm so sad to learn of Darla's passing. I met Darla over 5 years ago. We worked together at Kroger. She was generous and very kind. She offered to give me rides to/from work numerous times (esp. right after I needed to give up my car). She gave me a bike light, when I got a bicycle to ride to/from work. She gave me various little gifts, as well. She was a good friend to me! I have this cooler of water at Kroger. And sometimes she'd toss a few dollar bills in there! Lol. It was kind of a joke between us. Others were taking my water without asking, and Darla would occasionally take one and overpay me for it. She was so nice! Whenever I was on register 7 (which is the majority of the time) and she was on the north uscan, she would always bag for me (although she did not need to. That was way above and beyond her responsibility). She was hardworking, intelligent, and beautiful! Wow, this photo of her is gorgeous! Darla had this interest, too, in criminology, e.g., various crimes that happened in Oakland County, going back a few decades. It was interesting to listen to her! She and I talked about this subject (basically, she talked and I listened) more than a few times. Very interesting! Most importantly, though, Darla was very proud of her children and grandchildren and really wanted the very best for her grandchildren. God bless going forward without her. The family's in my thoughts and prayers. Kindest Regards, Kathleen Borgman.
