Steve and I wished we could have been with your family; to support them as they said their farewells to you for a moment. You see, we have not seen Scott, our youngest son, in four months and had a trip planned to see him back from overseas.  We went with one of the comforts that you are a mom and love your son, like we love ours. And you would totally understand.

  So Farewell Darlene, May you enjoy the presence of our Lord and His Heavenly Host. 

  We will remember your family in our prayers.  And we will always remember your contagious laugh and beautiful smile.  Until we meet Up!

I am so very very sorry, Red just called, we do not get the paper.  I am so sorry We missede Darlene's funeral.  Know that the Lord will be with you as Darlene, watching over you.  My deepest sympathy, again you are in our thoughts and prayers

You will be missed by everyone who was lucky to know you.  This should be Happy Birthday wishes so I will say it to you - Happy Birthday Darlene from Uncle Chuck and Aunt Barb.  May you rest in peace.  You maybe gone but you will never be forgotten.

Those of us who employed Darlene Martin, were greatly saddened to hear of her passing.  My husband and I woke up to Darlene prancing in the house as early as 7 am.  Sometimes we forgot she was coming, and we would jump out of bed and pretend we knew it was her day.  She knew we forgot of course, but was always cheerful and had a wonderful hearty laugh.    Darlene always had time to share grandaughter stories, and was always so proud of her son, Matt.  We also heard many storys of her family get togethers, and the caring for each other which was so important to Darlene.
My daughters, Nevada and Haley, who were grown and gone,  although sometimes returned home between jobs, got to know Darlene as well.  She was always supportive and she knew how to talk with young adults.  All of us, including my friends who first told me about Darlene, will deeply miss our visits with her, as they were more than visits, they were always a time of sharing and friendship.  Even if we were running out the door and only had time for a quick 'hi', we all knew that going back home meant a thoroughly clean house, where we could unwind and relax.  
Matt, your Mom was so proud of you and your new family.  Don't be afraid to talk to her in heaven, because she will continue to support and guide you whenever you need her help.  Trust in that.

Darlene was always so loving and welcoming. Whenever we came over for holidays or reunions she always made us feel like a part of the family, even though we were new to the whole thing. All of the memories you have left people with Darlene will touch their lives forever. Thank you for always being you and so amazing all the time.

Darlene you have been such a big part in my family's life. We miss you already but have a lot of great memories to keep forever! We love you!

My Sister, my friend, words can not express how much you will be miss, a big part of our family has left us. You will always be in our hearts.
