

David proudly served his country as a Staff Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps for more than ten years. David’s military career works included Crew Chief Maintenance and certified Marine Survival water instructor (MCIWS). Following his military service, he enjoyed a successful 25-year career with Metalsa, where his dedication and leadership earned the respect of his colleagues.
He was the beloved husband of Laurie Bradley and the devoted father of Aaron Gamble (Kayle) and Katrina Thomas (Devon), cherished grandfather of Charlotte, Oliver, and Vivien, who brought immense joy to his life, brother s Phillip Stevenson and Christopher Stevenson, uncle to Rebecca Holmes (Lauren) and Travis Fritsch. Predeceased by his sister Stephanie J Gamble, parents Leroy Gamble and Carroll Gamble.
David will be remembered for his deep love of family, his kindness, and his wonderful sense of humor. His loyalty, compassion, and strength touched all who knew him, and his legacy will live on through those he loved.
The family expresses heartfelt gratitude to the doctors and nurses at Henry Ford Hospital in West Bloomfield, Michigan, for their exceptional care and kindness. Sincere thanks are also extended to Pastor Rich and his team at Orchard Lake Community Church for their ongoing spiritual support to both David and Laurie.
A private family gathering will be held to honor David’s life at a later date in Bagdad Kentucky. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a veterans’ organization of your choice in his memory.
