Dennis spent decades working for Detroit Edison, where he built countless relationships and friendships along the way. He was loved by many, and the connections he made throughout his career were a testament to the lasting impression he left on everyone he met.
Dennis loved everything about living in Michigan, especially life on the lake, where he was surrounded by wonderful friends and neighbors. The lake was a special place for him, offering the companionship, community, and beauty he treasured. He also had a deep love for animals and lovingly cared for a number of beautiful dogs throughout his life, each holding a special place in his heart.
Raised in the Catholic faith, Dennis carried a strong and abiding faith throughout his life. His devotion to the Blessed Mother was especially meaningful to him and remained a cherished part of his spiritual life. His faith provided a lasting foundation and was an important part of who he was.
Dennis was preceded in death by his former wife, Susan Marie Taylor (Kress), and his parents, Daniel and Elaine Taylor (Navarre). Though he has been reunited with those who went before him, he leaves behind a family whose lives were touched by his presence and whose memories of him will live on.
Dennis is survived by his sister, Constance Anderson (Taylor), and her husband, Robert; numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews; and a loving extended family. Among those who survive him are his nephew, Trevor Anderson, and Trevor’s wife, Megan, along with their children, Austin and Savannah; and his niece, Tara Wilson (Anderson), and her husband, Samuel, along with their children, Evelyn and Louisa.
Family held a special place in Dennis’s life, and his role as godfather to both Trevor and Louisa was a meaningful bond that connected generations. These relationships, along with the many friendships he cultivated throughout his life, remain a lasting part of his legacy.
Dennis will be remembered for his captivating smile and his love of the Lions, Tigers, Red Wings, Pistons and Michigan Wolverines. Though he will be deeply missed, his memory will live on through the family and friends who loved him, the connections he nurtured, and the stories that will continue to be shared for years to come.
May he rest in eternal peace, reunited with beloved loved ones, embraced by the Blessed Mother he so deeply revered, and be forever remembered by all who hold him dear.
