

Born on September 26, 1946, in Detroit, Michigan, Diane was the beloved daughter of Martin and Albina Wegrzyn. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Diane is survived by her loving husband, Mark Zaya; her cherished sons, Dave and Brian; and her dear sisters, Charlene (the late Michael) Cotter and Marcia Belik. She also leaves behind many extended family members and friends who will miss her greatly.
Diane lived a life filled with love, adventure, and simple pleasures. For more than 50 years, she and Mark shared a passion for boating, creating countless treasured memories together on the water. She was an avid reader who especially enjoyed exchanging books and recommendations with her son, Dave. Diane was also a devoted cat lover whose beloved feline companions brought her immense joy throughout the years.
She found great happiness tending to her garden and surrounding herself with beautiful flowers. Diane also possessed a spirit of adventure and loved to travel, enjoying numerous cruises to destinations throughout Mexico, Europe, and the Caribbean. Her travels, kindness, and appreciation for life's beauty enriched the lives of all who knew her.
Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation at the Elton Black & Son Union Lake Chapel,1233 Union Lake Rd., White Lake, MI 48386 on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at 10:30 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Oakland County Humane Society in Diane's memory.
